Avoid Poverty at all Cost
Proverbs 6:10–11 (KJV)- “Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, A little folding of the hands to sleep: So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, And thy want as an armed man.”
A little sleep, a little slumber can lead to us neglecting our responsibilities and because nothing comes from nothing, poverty and lack suddenly creep in through consistent inaction. Laziness gently erodes time and purpose because when sleep becomes excessive the time to do productive work reduces and affects our level of growth.
Folding our hands and ignoring tasks over time, leaves a backlog of work to be done leading to missed opportunities and stagnation. Being productive creates a healthy sense of urgency about your life’s assignment that fuels purposeful living. Therefre embracing diligence should be a part of our personal development.
To overcome time wastage, set a fixed sleep and wake time, and align your rest with your responsibilities rather than your mood. Limit distractions and create a routine allows enough rest for the body and creativity. Always plan your day, week or month so you can have a clear direction. This will help you live a balanced life full of progress and meaningful results.
Prayer Point:
Dear Lord, please grant me the discipline to manage my time wisely. Deliver me from laziness and help me embrace diligence in all I do so that I may walk in productivity and fulfill my calling. Amen.
