You Must Be Productive on Time

Proverbs 6:8–9 (KJV)- “Provideth her meat in the summer, And gathereth her food in the harvest. How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? When wilt thou arise out of thy sleep?”
‭‭

The ant is one animal that works with foresight, preparing its food in the right season so that it lacks nothing later. This reminds us that productivity is about working hard at the right time. There are seasons in life meant for planting, building, learning, preparing then harvesting. When we recognize these seasons and act faithfully, we position ourselves for fruitfulness.

The passage also challenges complacency, especially the habit of excessive sleep. While rest is necessary, too much sleep can quietly steal opportunities, dull discipline, and weaken purpose. Spiritually, sleep can also represent a lack of awareness or urgency. When we choose discipline over delay and action over apathy, we become so productive and powerful.

Today where distractions are many and time is precious, overindulgence in comfort can hinder growth, calling, and readiness. We must be alert by being awake physically, mentally and spiritually to what must be done. We must be productive at the right time so we can maximize our potential, and become channels of blessings to others.

Prayer Point:
Lord, grant me the discipline to recognize and seize the right moments for action. Deliver me from laziness and excessive sleep, and awaken my spirit to walk diligently in purpose in Jesus name. Amen.
