God’s Favor is Life
Proverbs 3:3–4 (KJV) – Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart: so shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.”
Another way we experience God’s favor is through His love, kindness, and blessing that lasts throughout our lifetime. Even when we disappoint Him, like a loving parent, He does not stop loving us. He may correct us, but the correction is only for a moment, while His love continues.
God’s favor strengthens us through His gentle leading and loving correction. It makes us stable, secure, and strong (Psalm 30:7). Everything we have ultimately depends on God’s favor including our opportunities, security, health, prosperity, and long life are benefits of His grace toward us.
As God’s children, we must remember that although He may allow hard moments, His love lasts far longer than the pain. In His favor is life, and though weeping may endure for a night, joy will surely come in the morning (Psalm 30:5). When life is good, we must remember that our strength comes from Him. And even when we feel distant from God, He is still working to draw us back into joy.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your enduring love and favor. Help us trust You in every season, remember that our strength comes from You, and hold on to the promise that joy will come after sorrow in Jesus’ name, Amen.
