The Inheritance of The Wise
Proverbs 3:35 (NLT)- “The wise inherit honor, but fools are put to shame!”
Wisdom in the Bible is not simply intelligence. It is a heart that trusts God, receives guidance, and chooses humility. This verse gives us a gentle promise that those who walk in God’s ways will receive honor in time.
An inheritance is something received because of relationship. Just as a child receives from a loving parent, those who align their lives with God’s truth gradually receive honor as their portion. This honor may appear as trust from others, a good reputation, inner peace, or quiet strength. It may not happen overnight, but God sees every wise choice and grows it into something beautiful.
For a believer, wisdom begins by following Jesus Christ. As we learn from Him and allow Him to shape our hearts, our lives slowly reflect His character. The inheritance of the wise is not just recognition from people. It is living in God’s favor and peace each day.

Lord, teach me to walk in Your wisdom. Help me to trust You, accept correction, and grow into the person You desire me to be. May my life reflect Your honor.
