TUNING TO WISDOM
Proverbs 2:2 (NLT): “Tune your ears to wisdom, and concentrate on understanding.”
It is often said that we cannot rise above what we consistently listen to, because what we feed grows, and what we deny attention gradually fades away. Scripture encourages us to intentionally tune our ears to wisdom through to messages that bring life, hope, and clarity. Make a conscious decision to listen to what edifies. Embrace positive and faith building information, while refusing to allow negative or evil reports to dominate your heart. Rather than being overwhelmed by troubling events, commit your life, family, and nation continually to the Lord in prayer.
This season calls for intentional growth through unlearning, learning, and relearning. There are countless areas in which we can increase in knowledge and capacity. Focus on strengthening your expertise in your chosen career or vocation. Equally important is personal character development by studying and cultivating the nine fruits of the Spirit as outlined in Galatians 5:22–26 (KJV), allowing them to shape your daily conduct.
Likewise, the body of Christ is richly blessed with teachers who faithfully and simply communicate the Word of God. Consistently engaging with sound teaching will bring transformation and lasting growth.
Prayer Point:
Holy Spirit, please help me fix my focus on becoming a better version of myself by committing to learning, growth, and the adoption of superior ways of living, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
