DO NOT QUIT
The world is waiting.
Scripture reminds us that “the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God” (Romans 8:19). What the world is waiting for is the manifestation of what God has already deposited inside us. Hidden within every believer is the capacity for exploits which can be results that silence insults, victories that glorify God, and lives that testify to His faithfulness.
God is a God of exploits. He never designed His children to live average or defeated lives. His Word is clear: “The Lord shall make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only and not beneath” (Deuteronomy 28:13). Mediocrity is not an option in God’s Kingdom. Excellence, growth, and impact are the standard.
But there is one key that unlocks exploits in every season of life: PERSISTENCE
Exploits are not commanded by wishful thinking but by unwavering perseverance. If you give up easily, you will not go up. Those who command results are those who remain committed even when circumstances are unfriendly.
Persistence means:
- Active commitment to your goals despite opposition
- Refusing to surrender to pressure, delay, or discouragement
- Keeping hope alive when the odds are stacked against you
In the school of exploits, persistence is a compulsory course.
Jesus Himself taught that men ought always to pray and not lose heart using the parable of the persistent widow (Luke 18:1–8). Despite being vulnerable, facing a strong adversary, losing social and economic standing, and encountering an unjust judge, the widow prevailed because she refused to give up. Though overwhelmed by circumstances beyond her control, she persisted until her request was granted. Jesus used this account to emphasize the power of perseverance, teaching that if persistence can move an unjust judge, how much more will God respond to His children who remain steadfast in faith. The lesson is clear: rather than murmuring or complaining, believers are encouraged to persist, trusting that God will show up for those who refuse to quit.
The lesson is clear: Stop murmuring and complaining. God always shows up for those who refuse to give up.
Attributes of Those Who Do Not Quit
1. Total Conviction
Those who persist know what they deserve and are fully persuaded that God will come through. They carry an unshakable confidence that says, “God will fight my battles.”
Romans 4:19–21 tells us that Abraham was not weak in faith but gave glory to God, being fully convinced that what God had promised, He was also able to perform.
No matter what you face, God is too faithful to fail.
2. Unwavering Faith and Patience
God is not slow. He is intentional. Delay is not denial. Faith remains firm even when answers seem postponed.
“Without faith it is impossible to please God, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him” (Hebrews 11:6, AMP).
The enemy’s strategy is doubt, but your responsibility is trust. If you know God, you can trust Him. And knowing God comes from personal experience, not secondhand stories.
3. A History of Gratitude
Counting your blessings strengthens your faith. When you remember what God has already done, what He has saved you from and brought you through, you gain confidence to trust Him again.
Gratitude fuels perseverance.
Refuse to Give up!
You cannot command exploits if quitting is your habit. Persistence is the language of faith. When circumstances say “stop,” faith says “keep going.” When pressure says “give up,” hope says “hold on.”
Say it boldly:
“I refuse to give up!”
Keep believing.
Keep trusting.
Keep persisting until something happens.
Because in God’s Kingdom, those who do not quit will always prevail.
