Acknowledging God as Your Shield
Proverbs 3:6 (KJV)- “In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
Acknowledging God as your shield means trusting in His divine protection, favor, and strength as an active defense against known and unknown attacks. There are times where we are faced with inevitable battles to fight and God is present with us as our shield.
A shield doesn’t remove the battle, but it protects you while you’re in it. We must trust God’s guidance and protection over our thoughts, choices, possessions and relationships. To remain within His shield of protection you must obey Him God’s Word, knowing His instructions are for your good and keeps you away from harms way.
Having God as a shield makes us invincible as we are untouchable, unshakable and unmovable by the enemy. Neither our thoughts, words, actions or blessings can be tampered with. Our minds are protected from fear that causes torment and surrounded with peace. Proverbs 18:10 says – The name of the Lord is a strong tower which we can run into and be safe. God is a shield and buckler, a stronghold and a safe refuge during times of adversity. So when you are faced with trials and tribulations declare with confidence that God is your shield!
Prayer
Father, thank You for being my shield and defender. Please surround me with your shield of favor and defend me from all wiles of Satan and his agents today and always in Jesus name, Amen.
