Acknowledging God as Our Strength
Proverbs 3:6 (KJV)- “In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
God’s strength is His enabling presence. It functions both defensively as our shield and proactively as our help, covering every circumstance of life. He gives us peace, courage, and guidance, especially when life feels confusing or difficult. We ought to rely on Him when facing temptation, opposition, or difficult assignments, and declare His promises when discouragement arises.
His strength gives us courage to obey, especially when stepping into assignments that feel far bigger than us. It grants believers consistency in holiness by empowering us to overcome temptation not through sheer willpower, but by leaning on His power.
God’s strength also fosters steadfast joy, as declared in Nehemiah 8:10: “The joy of the LORD is your strength. Ultimately, God’s strength replaces self-reliance with God-reliance because apart from Him, we can do nothing.
Prayer
Father, thank You for being my strength. When I come to the end of myself, carry me on wings like eagles and lead me into greater glory. I trust You completely. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
