2 Corinthians 1:3-5 (MSG) – All praise to the God and Father of our Master, Jesus the Messiah! Father of all mercy! God of all healing counsel! He comes alongside us when we go through hard times, and before you know it, he brings us alongside someone else who is going through hard times so that we can be there for that person just as God was there for us. We have plenty of hard times that come from following the Messiah, but no more so than the good times of his healing comfort—we get a full measure of that, too.
Tough times do come but they don’t last forever. We run to the God of all comfort who comforts us so we can comfort others. When you experience a painful experience do not try to suck it up. Talk to God, cry to Him pour your heart to Him just the way you feel. He will respond. He will speak to your soul, through His Word, through soft whispers, He will sing to you while you sleep. He will send His angels to minister to you. He will also send people who have gone through similar experiences to you to share how they overcame and comfort you. At the end, you will feel relieved of the hurt, anger, pain, shame or regret. God is the friend of a wounded heart.
Father please change my testimony to “if not for God I would not be where I am today” in Jesus name.
