Acknowledging God as Our Sustainer

Proverbs 3:6 (KJV)- “In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”

Throughout Scripture, God is revealed as the One who sustains all things. Hebrews 1:3 tells us that He upholds the universe by the word of His power. To sustain means to strengthen, protect, encourage, and comfort. God’s sustaining power is a divine holding together that surpasses all human ability.

Scripture reminds us that He upholds all things by His power (Hebrews 1:3). When we feel weak, tired, or uncertain, God is the One holding us together. Our strength comes from staying connected to Him. Just as our bodies need daily nourishment, our spirits need God’s presence through prayer. When we surrender to the Holy Spirit and allow Him to lead without resistance, we experience God’s sustaining grace in every area of life.

Acts 17:28 reminds us, “For in Him we live, and move, and have our being.” God sustains our salvation, strengthens us in our weakness, carries us through battles, and preserves the visions, projects, and dreams He has placed within us. When we feel depleted, He is the One holding us together. This is why regular prayers throughout the day is essential.

Prayer: Lord, thank You for sustaining me today. When I am weak, please be my strength and uphold me with Your righteous right hand in Jesus name, Amen.
