Living Right One Decision at a Time
Proverbs 4:14-15 (NLT)- “Don’t do as the wicked do, and don’t follow the path of evildoers. Don’t even think about it; don’t go that way. Turn away and keep moving.”
God gently encourages us to be intentional in staying away from what could harm us, even in small ways. Sometimes the wrong path can seem appealing or harmless at first, but in His wisdom, God guides us to be careful, not to dwell on those thoughts or drift in the wrong direction. His divine restriction is to protect our hearts and lead us toward what is good, peaceful, and life-giving.
We are also instructed to “Turn away and keep moving” which speaks of choosing what is right, even when it’s not the easiest option. It may mean letting go of certain habits, conversations, or gatherings that don’t align with who we are becoming. Taking steps away from negativity is a firm decision we have to take to move forward to a life filled with clarity, strength, and God’s presence.
As you go through your day, take a moment to reflect with grace on every aspect of your life. If there are areas where you feel prompted to make a change, do so immediately remembering that God walks with you every step of the way. His guidance is steady, and His love is constant. You are never alone in choosing the right path.
Prayer Point:
Heavenly Father, please give me the wisdom to recognize paths that are not good for me and the strength to turn away from them. Help me to choose what is right, even when it’s difficult, and guide my steps toward a life that honors You in Jesus name, Amen.
