Confidence in The Midst of Fear
Proverbs 3:25–26 (KJV) “Be not afraid of sudden fear, Neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh. For the LORD shall be thy confidence, And shall keep thy foot from being taken.”
Life does not always warn us before it changes. In an unstable world filled with threats to our peace, fear can arise suddenly through financial pressure, injustice, uncertainty, or unexpected loss. Yet God speaks clearly, do not be afraid. Fear may come, but it does not have to stay. It does not have to rule your heart. The Lord, the Ruler of all, holds your life and the lives of your loved ones. He is with you in the midst of every fearful situation, and you will never face it alone. Those who plan evil and pride themselves in injustice will ultimately face desolation by the hand of the Lord. God remains sovereign and in control.
Living with conscious spiritual awareness means recognizing the indwelling presence of God within us. Through Christ, we have access to divine wisdom and understanding for every challenge we encounter. When we stay centered in Him and commit to expressing His wisdom in our decisions, panic loses its power. Our confidence is not in a large bank account, perfect plans, human help, or our own strength. Our confidence is in the Lord who is steady, faithful, and unchanging. He guides us through storms and keeps us from choices that would lead to harm.
Declare boldly: The Lord is my confidence!
Prayer Point
Dear Father, please be my confidence when fear rises suddenly. Help me not to be ruled by it. Steady my steps, guard my heart from anxiety, and remind me that You are in control in Jesus’ name, Amen.
