THE ORNAMENT OF GRACE
Proverbs 1:8-9 (KJV)- “My son, hear the instruction of thy father, And forsake not the law of thy mother: For they shall be an ornament of grace unto thy head, And chains about thy neck.”
Grace is a spiritual endowment that reveals God’s gifts and abilities made accessible to His children. There are manifold expressions of grace through which people display the glory of God. For instance, there is a grace that enables individuals to function with unusual ease in different areas of life. There is also a grace for swift execution of assignments and projects. Some people possess exceptional intelligence and consistently excel above others. These are all manifestations of God’s grace expressed in diverse forms, causing a person to become celebrated and distinguished.
When an individual receives the gift of God’s grace, they become a sign and a wonder. That grace brings distinction and makes a person shine like a star. A life adorned with grace is beautifully decorated, much like an expensive necklace resting perfectly on a woman’s neck, enhancing her beauty and complementing her attire.
If you recognize a gift or ability in your life that is uncommon, commit yourself to developing and refining it. Nurture that grace diligently until it becomes a channel through which you impact your world and glorify God.
Prayer Point: Father, cause me to grow in the grace You have given me, and increase my boldness to transform my world through the grace of God upon my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
