Psalm 4:7 (ESV) – You have put more joy in my heart than they have when their grain and wine abound.
When we read of all the promises of God, we are revived with hope for the joy which was promised to those who inherit the kingdom of God. In the book of John chapter 15, Jesus gave us a lot of promises with the intent of increasing our joy: He said “These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full”. One of God’s intent for sending His Son to come and die for us is so that we would have our joy and peace restored to the end that we will live life as it was originally intended when He created Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden. Our assignment as followers of Jesus is to read His teachings daily so that our His joy may be in us.
Father as I daily read your Word, increase Your joy in me until my joy becomes complete in Jesus name.
