God’s Love Will Make You Likeable (18th December 2020)
Deuteronomy 7:7-8 (HCSB) – The LORD was devoted to you and chose you, not because you were more numerous than all peoples, for you were the fewest of all peoples. But because the LORD loved you and kept the oath He swore to your fathers, He brought you out with a strong hand and redeemed you from the place of slavery, from the power of Pharaoh king of Egypt.
It is both a wonderful and miraculous thing to be loved by God. It is wonderful because of the kind of life set up for those who God love. The mind can hardly comprehend what goodness He has in store for those who walk not after the flesh but after the spirit. For instance, the way God rescues us from our enemies is mind blowing. He said He will bring us out from under the yoke of our captors, whether we deserve it or not and deliver us from their bondage so we can be free and live in abundance. He will redeem us with an outstretched arm and with mighty acts of judgment. Although we cannot see God with our physical eyes, we see His miracles that so clearly reveal to us the greatness of our God.
