God’s Love Will Give You the Most Important Things (8th October 2021)
Matthew 23:23 (NLT) – “What sorrow awaits you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites! For you are careful to tithe even the tiniest income from your herb gardens, but you ignore the more important aspects of the law—justice, mercy, and faith. You should tithe, yes, but do not neglect the more important things.
More important than our daily sacrifices to the things of the kingdom is our obedience to what is required of us from the Lord. He has told us what is important in securing our blessings in Christ which are justice, mercy and humbly walking in faith with our God. Every Christian must have these tenancies inscribed upon our hearts. Whatever we do, we must maintain the cause of the poor and administer mercy. Mercy is what made you eligible to receive His salvation and the fullness of His riches in glory and so we must also walk in mercy. We must be swift in recuing oppressors from their victims and disable violence in our society.
Prayer
Father please help me to do justly, love mercy and work humbly in Your sight in Jesus name.
